Taseer Ali is a cinematographer based in Pakistan. He has a great passion of capture time, space
and memory through visual language. He has graduated from National College of Arts in Film
and Television with Distinction. Over the years, Taseer has worked in field of fiction production,
music videos, advertisement and documentaries. Taseer works delivers primarily to tell stories,
to make images that manifest feelings which brings us together. He demonstrates his endearment
for humanity and environment.
Taseer understands deeply that a great cinematographer cannot only create beautiful images, but most importantly who can get a hold of the deep meaning behind the story and find a way to capture it with a heart and soul behind the lens.
His keen eye for composition, lighting, and visual storytelling has greatly contributed to the success of films. He shot “ City of Men,” a short film that was screened at the first South Asian Oscar Qualifying Film Festival Tasveer and won best short film at the Muslim International Film Festival.”Solatia,” for which he was the cinematographer, was screened at the prestigious Red Sea Film Festival. He recently won “Best Cinematography” award for his work on “The Round Lake” at the prestigious Gandhara Film Festival. He is currently in a production of feature documentary, titled “Indus Rising,” focuses on the women of Sindh as they confront environmental obstacles following the floods of 2022, and is set to release in 2025.
